Pastor Position Open
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! We are seeking a full-time solo pastor to join our mission to proclaim Christ in our community and the world. Our age-diverse congregation is comprised of regularly attending, committed members who are present and engaged in worship, and who come from a wide diversity of denominational backgrounds. Covenant CRC is hungry to discuss questions about difficult topics of faith, trusting that the Lord will show us paths that lead to life in Him. We seek a pastor who will welcome and encourage these discussions, teaching us to listen well to the Holy Spirit and one another as we grow in faith. We seek a pastor who can guide our diverse flock to the mission that God calls us to, through biblical preaching, prayerful discernment, and the wisdom that only God can give. As our website says, we believe in “Growing Together Through God’s Word.”

Interim Pastor Roger Sparks
Guiding us in our search for a new pastor is our intentional interim pastor, Roger Sparks. The transition from the long and faithful ministry of Mark Pluimer to a new chapter in the history of our church comes as a challenge but also as an opportunity to reflect again on our values and our vision as Christ’s eternal church in a quickly-changing world.
Pastor Roger and Dianne have served in a number of CRC ministry settings, having pastored congregations in Medicine Hat, Alberta; Rock Valley, Iowa; and Luverne, MN. Among their blessings they count their four children and their spouses and 7 grandchildren. Pastor Roger has been doing interim work of a Specialized Transitional Minister for the past three years.
